My April 27 TEDxLowell talk about “The Wired City” and what’s next for community news, “Telling the Local Story,” is now online. You can view all the speakers here. The UMass Lowell students who put this together did a great job.

“‘The Wired City’ transcends the exhausting debate over what journalism startups should look like."
— Columbia Journalism Review

“Kennedy’s book, ‘The Wired City,’ is a brisk, efficient primer on the (often good) things that are happening in journalism in an age when traditional newspaper circulation and advertising revenues are declining.”
— The Boston Globe

“Kennedy ... packs a lot of other material into this book that withstands the passage of time.”
— CommonWealth Magazine
